Discovery Channel visits Hilex Poly

Last week I had the privilege of visiting our recycling facility in North Vernon, Indiana, where I was joined by a few colleagues in welcoming the filming crew from the Discovery Channel’s show “How Do they Do It.”
The show’s producers and film crew were able to see the entire step-by-step manufacturing process while filming a segment on plastic bag manufacturing and recycling. As you may recall, our state-of-the-art recycling plant in North Vernon is where millions of pounds of plastic collected through our Bag-2-Bag recycling program is processed.
It was an honor to be able to guide these great folks so that they can see all of the wonderful work being done daily at our facility. Additionally, I was proud that Hilex could be a part of a segment that will educate a large number of viewers about the plastic bag manufacturing and recycling process.
You should be able to catch this segment on the Discovery Channel by March of 2014, but make sure to check our blog, Facebook or Twitter pages in the upcoming months for updates. Until then, check out these great pictures taken while the crew from the Discovery Channel was on site.
