What’s your New Year’s resolution? Here at Novolex we’ll continue to give back to the community through donations and volunteer activities in 2016.
Throughout 2015, we focused our efforts on contributing to those in need, by donating to organizations such as food banks, Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army—as well as donating our time to homeless shelters and local Chambers of Commerce. Education is another area of focus—we donate bags to public libraries, along with financial and time contributions to schools and colleges in the areas where we operate.
One contribution from 2015 that we’re especially proud of went to support breast cancer research. This past year, we donated $20,000 to help find a cure for the disease.
Additionally, through the Novolex Pink Bag Program, we have helped countless businesses raise breast cancer awareness throughout the year—and look forward to doing so again in 2016. This program allows companies to purchase pink bags that draw attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month each October.
Roughly one in eight U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer sometime in her life.[1] Through our donation and program, we’re raising public awareness and showing our commitment to finding a cure for this cancer.
However, we can’t do it alone! As we settle into the new year, we ask that you give something back as well, whether it be by volunteering in your community or donating to your favorite charity. We’d love to hear what you decide to do.
